Are lavender products safe to use during pregnancy?

Oral use is not recommended during pregnancy and caution should be exercised if you are using lavender products whilst pregnant. Usually, in the second and third trimesters, lavender should be safe to use as your baby is more developed. Diluting your lavender oil thoroughly is very important and will lower your risk for adverse reactions. Lavender oil can be easily diluted in some olive or coconut oil, whole milk, unscented creams, or even just plain water. If you are in doubt whether to use lavender or not during your pregnancy, consult with your doctor to make sure.
